Visual Communications Designer

Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Pay: ~$50.00/hr, DOE
 
The Planet Group is looking for a Visual Communications Designer to join our well-known lifestyle brand technology client on a 12-month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role working a remote schedule.

Visual Communications Designer Responsibilities:   
  • Create a design language, reusable templates and scalable visual systems.
  • Design clear, on-brand Activation collateral, including reinforcement material, with a strong sense of layout, typography, color, and hierarchy.
  • Redevelop existing assets for sellers and managers in the Company's design language, with a keen awareness of usability and adaptability.
  • Translate complex ideas and data into clear, engaging visuals (e.g. charts, infographics, UI mockups).
  • Lead design projects from concept through completion, incorporating feedback and aligning with brand standards.
  • Ensure visual consistency, clarity, and quality across all assets.
  • Communicate design decisions effectively to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
  • Independently develop best-in-class sales content, working closely with the content strategist, program strategist and activation lead.
Visual Communications Designer Qualifications:   
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing presentation design with clean, strategic visuals
  • Deep experience in leveraging Google Workspace for design purposes, and comfort collaborating via cloud-based shared documents
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Canva a plus)
  • A pixel-perfect eye for detail and strong command of layout, typography, and color
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience designing within brand systems and working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with internal communications and/or sales enablement
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent experience
