Job Description
Job Title: VP of IT
The VP of IT will have 3 Direct Reports and oversight of leaders within helpdesk, cyber security, and application development. There are about 12 reports in this org as well. Our client is currently utilizing NetSuite ERP and Job Cost Accounting and they use UKG, Monday.com implementation, Render, Microsoft and they very much want an entrepreneurial mindset that has an ERP and implementation leadership background to thrive in this role.
Our client is looking for someone with technical perspective that can provide strategy change-management and ops strategy, look at the entire portfolio and make better decisions on efficiencies. A very strategic mind that can pro-actively partner with business leaders. For example, “here are 3 ways we can utilize AI” or “here’s something we can outsource”.
This position creates and directs operational strategies that result in accomplishing business goals, meeting department financial goals, being a successful leader of a team, and creating a reliable user experience. The ideal candidate has proven success leading an IT team and operational strategies, strong business and financial acumen, with a strong work ethic and an ALL-IN attitude to achieve results.
Roles And Responsibilities
Executive level leader responsible for people management, production, performance, and quality within the entire IT department
Direct Leader of people including compensation, performance, development, discipline, staffing, etc.
Strong team and people leader that is highly strategic and forward thinking owning the success of the department they oversee
Creates the standard of collaboration and interdependence with other functional teams and operational groups ensuring strong relationships and collaboration to achieve overall business goals
Strong level of technical acumen within the IT space including integrating and managing cloud environments, service desk management, cybersecurity, application management, user experience, etc. driving KPI’s and standardization amongst the department
Maintains a strong innovative approach to ensure existing technologies meet the needs of each department within the organization; proposes and provides updated technologies that could drive efficiency within the organization
Advanced level of business and financial acumen; can independently create and execute upon strategic business plans and financial budgets
Strong data and analytics skills to drive critical business decisions
Requirements:
Someone that has been in this type of role in the past that is great with IT KPI’s and what measures success in an IT department and what are ticketing systems you can implement to help with this. They will have complete budgetary oversight. This person should be able to proposals for implementations, ROI, and also be able to face users and solve issues. This candidate should have acumen on large company implementations and strategic ways on moving companies forward on one IT solution. They should be able to show case how they have done this in the past. This person should have experience managing a company wide ERP system. They are looking for someone with 10+ years of experience leading an entire functional department within a corporate IT group required
Strong working knowledge of cloud technologies, governance and security, server administration and network operations centers
Experience with complex technical ecosystems preferred
Bachelor’s degree in information technology strongly preferred
Must Haves:
VP IT level Leadership Experience
Oversight of a large ERP system and Implementation Experience
Ability to Manage Directors for App Dev, Cyber, End-User Support, and implement best IT practices
