We are seeking a Surety Underwriting Assistant with exceptional customer service skills to provide administrative and underwriting support within our National Bond Center. This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail, as it involves significant phone interaction with agents, clients, and underwriters nationwide. Responsibilities will primarily focus on processing bond transactions, endorsements, and underwriting information, maintaining agency records, and assisting with general office administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide support to agents using our online Surety Agency portal and assist in processing surety business through bond and data entry.
-Deliver high-quality customer service by addressing inquiries from internal and external clients, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolution of issues.
-Prepare and process new bonds, riders, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements while accurately entering rates and codes into the system.
-Collaborate with home office and field underwriters, territory managers, attorneys, and IT personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
-Utilize independent judgment to complete specialized tasks within established policies and procedures, contributing to business success.
-Manage document retrieval, verification, and data entry across various billing, workflow, and database systems.
-Assist with billing, premium, and commission discrepancies as needed.
-Participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for efficiency and workflow enhancements.
-Perform general administrative and clerical tasks, including electronic filing, document preparation, and data entry.
-Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
