Location: Seattle, WA
Schedule: Mostly remote, but must be local for occasional onsite meetings.
Pay: Up to $106.38/hour DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a UX Researcher with a strong Quantitative background to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will work 40 hours per week and will be required to be co-located to Seattle, Washington ideally. The client would consider candidates in New York City, San Diego, or San Francisco. 

This role will be supporting projects as it relates to AI and AI Machine Learning. Experience running user studies and research within these areas are necessary. Please highlight when applying!

UX Researcher Responsibilities: 
  • Work with engineers, PMs, designers, and data scientists to align on the research methods, goals, and outcomes to then develop the appropriate study designs.
  • Develop research studies as it relates to the risks involved with AI and AIML.
  • Create and manage survey questionnaire designs, sampling approaches, and weighting.
  • Test different research methods and hypothesis.
  • Develop results from the studies and deliver visualization, reporting and recaps.
  • Investigate UX and behavior by using empirical methods such as surveys, longitudinal and experience sampling studies, log analysis, and more.
  • Analyze quantitative data from longitudinal study designs and other studies.
  • Work independently on workflows, but take the opportunity to also mentor other researchers to support the goals of the organization.
  • Verify data that is collected to make sure it is reliable and valid for use.
  • Analyze and pull data to then share with the team.
UX Researcher Qualifications:
  • At least 4+ years experience in an applied research setting.
  • Bachelor's degree, but MS/PhD is really sought after.
  • Experience working on AI/AIML projects.
  • Experience with sampling/ecological momentary assessment techniques is preferred.
  • Experience working with large distributed data frameworks.
  • Experience in programming languages used for data processing/ statistics (Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go)
  • Experience with Machine Learning from a knowledge standpoint and can understand the fundamentals as it relates to AI.
