Job Title:Two Senior Business Systems Analysts

Overview:
Boutique financial firm is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Systems Analyst with a deep understanding of both the technical and business sides of the financial services industry. The ideal candidate is someone adept at handling technical requirements while also being fluent in business processes, particularly in accounting and trading. This role is for a true hybrid professional who is not only proficient in business analysis but also possesses strong technical skills in SQL and reporting.

Work Arrangement:
- On-site work is required three days a week, with mandatory attendance on Tuesdays. The role allows for two days of remote work.
- Standard working hours are 9 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilize advanced SQL skills to perform data extractions, merge tables, and generate insightful reports, thereby supporting data-driven decision-making across the firm.
- Collaborate closely with developers, providing guidance and leveraging their expertise to enhance data handling and reporting capabilities.
- Act as a resourceful liaison between IT, application developers, and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of technical data requirements and business objectives.
- Facilitate proactive discussions to gather, document, and validate business requirements, demonstrating a hands-on approach by engaging directly with team members beyond the confines of a desk.
- Lead the development and support of internal applications, meticulously analyzing business and system requirements to drive enhancements and new functionalities.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a senior role, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a financial services environment focused on accounting and trading.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Math, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with financial applications; familiarity with AddVantage, Charles River, Profx, and OneSource is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, boutique firm environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.

Skills:
- Robust SQL skills are essential, with a focus on querying, data manipulation, and report generation.
- Strong initiative, with the capacity to start and drive projects to completion autonomously.
- Outstanding documentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical and business requirements clearly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders and vendors.
- Adaptable and versatile, willing to wear multiple hats and contribute to various aspects of the business as needed.
- A strong work ethic, with a fair but rigorous approach to their work. Appreciation for self-starters and individuals who take full ownership of their responsibilities.
