Location: 100% Work From Home, but local to Culver City, CA Duration: 12 months Pay: Up to $112.95/hour, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will be 40 hours per week and is fully work from home, but must be local to Culver City, CA for occasional onsite meetings.
The Technical Program Manager will support cross-functional teams that enable data and ML models that help decrease privacy risks for users.
Technical Program Manager Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Growth Marketing stakeholders to support the design, build and execution of Data Enablement & Privacy programs for the Data Signals and ML models needed for the Growth Marketing Operations division.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of programs.
Define projects, collect and document requirements, coordinate efforts to scope, and find solutions.
Provide clear, timely and objective communication, including regular program status updates and critical issues as needed to the Growth Marketing Operations team.
Create and manage Data Enablement & Privacy project schedules for Data Signals and ML models with clear dependencies, critical program paths, and systematic methodology to communicate the various program statuses.
Lead discussions with Engineering, Growth Project Managers and other technical program managers to define requirements that translate Growth Marketing use-cases into detailed technical documentation needed for Privacy & Legal reviews, and marketing platform users in Growth Marketing Operations.
Break down complex issues into discussion topics, maintaining an orientation toward teamwork and collaboration.
Manage risks and mitigations, and re-plan events as needed.
Drive alignment across the organization and between teams.
Drive on time approval and delivery of data signals and ML models, identifying privacy and legal dependencies and feasibility needs, establishing achievements for checkpoints and status updates.
Proactively identify issues and solutions, and assign resources necessary to handle and resolve the issues.
Guide Engineers on implementation decisions impacted by compliance, privacy, safety or security policies or best practices.
Technical Program Manager Qualifications:
B.A./M.S. or advanced degree in a technical or related discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, EE, Project Management etc.
10+ years experience managing large cross-functional teams that require a deep understanding of technical design, back-end architecture, and data pipelines.
Strong understanding of Growth Marketing initiatives and consumer lifecycles.
Experience working with privacy or legal aspects of consumer facing applications, products, and services a plus.
Experience leading projects that involve Data and/or ML integration into automated marketing messaging and/or consumer-facing applications.
Working knowledge of propensity models, A/B testing, Bayesian statistics, personalization, and/or reinforcement learning
Previously worked on programs around GenAI technical expertise in building and deploying Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems using Large Language Models (LLMs).
Experience with vector databases (Chroma DB, Pinecone, etc.) and hands on experience implementing embedding models for efficient document/knowledge retrieval.
Thorough understanding of testing, build and release processes for complex software projects.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively and influence stakeholders.
Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
