Job Description

Technical Writer
Location: San Diego, CA; Hybrid
Pay: up to $62.25 per hour DOE

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage program core teams in the development of program plans which include resource needs, scope, budget and quality targets
  • Create and manage the project schedule, including identification of keys tasks and formulation of timelines with durations, dependencies, critical path, and milestones
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create, execute and communicate overall project plans (scope, schedule, staffing plans, quality, risk management, budget, and procurement) and revise them appropriately to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Manage cross-functional resources, project timelines and project budgets required to successfully drive projects and initiatives
  • Identify needs for plan changes, manage and track changes, and communicate plan changes to the team and stakeholders to ensure program goals are in alignment with business objectives
  • Present projects and program level plans to senior management and provide regular updates throughout the project management lifecycle to effectively manage expectations of progress against planned commitments
  • Identify and resolve or escalate program issues, facilitate tradeoff decisions, and remove obstacles
  • Ensure our product development efforts adhere to the product development process and design control standards
  • Continuously analyze and manage program risks to enable successful project completion
  • Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience
  • Bachelors Degree, ideally in a related field
  • 3 or more years of experience working with R&D, Mfg., Supply Chain, LCM, IT and Quality
  • Experience with software integration as a business analyst or project manager
  • Knowledge of microarray genetic sequencing and genetic sequencing microarray principles and devices
  • Experience with software integration as a business analyst or project manager
  • Successful track record of bringing new technology solutions /products to market Interpersonal and facilitation


Must Haves:
  • Microsoft knowledge -- PowerPoint, etc.
  • Happen to know document control process, SAP/Team Center
  • JIRA & Confluence nice to have
  • Med device company experience
  • Regulated space for Project Management - familiar to adhering to legal entities


Nice to Haves:
  • Experience adhering to Design Controls for the development of medical devices such as 21CFR820, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971 a plus
  • Have experience in or understanding of Agile methodology is a plus
  • PMP certification is preferred. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is plus
  • MS/MBA is preferred
