Job Description


The Cost Accountant oversees comprehensive financial management, encompassing corporate accounting, financial control, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Additionally, they develop internal control policies and implement finance strategies. In a growth-oriented, international group structure, the Cost Accountant bolsters the finance organization and ensures precise product standard costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee financial forecasting and budgeting for the Sarasota site, setting standard costs and analyzing manufacturing variances.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing variances, operational KPIs, and financial performance.
  • Contribute to defining the product costing process, analyze discrepancies, and provide interpretations and insights.
  • Manage finance and accounting operations for the Sarasota legal entity in collaboration with the Global Accounting/Controlling Team.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S.A. statutory reporting requirements for accounting and taxation, including local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to enhance cost efficiency and productivity at the Sarasota site, tracking improvement projects.
  • Ensure adherence to group accounting policies in coordination with corporate finance.
  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly financial reports aligned with corporate schedules, encompassing P&L, B/S, Capex, Headcount, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Develop business processes and reporting tools, and implement accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, or a related field with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience; CPA preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years of general ledger experience.
  • Proficient in accounting principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively across functions.
  • Experience in a global work environment.
