Pay: $46.59/hr
Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design teams in developing utility-scale solar projects (50-500MW+).
- Coordinate deliverables with other groups to minimize interference or errors.
- Collaborate with civil engineers, technicians, project coordinators, project managers, and support staff to produce site plans, detailed engineering drawings, profiles, construction drawings, and details for Utility Scale Solar PV systems.
- Participate in multi-discipline teams, including design engineers and system studies engineers, with support from Engineering Technicians.
- Support early-stage project development with conceptual designs and material take-offs.
- Develop initial system conceptual ideas into fully optimized EPC designs.
- Contribute to the continual development of internal solar engineering standards, tool sets, and work processes.
- Convert field survey data into topographic survey drawings and surfaces suitable for producing site plans and construction drawings.
- Utilize Excel spreadsheets, commercial, and proprietary engineering software to design Solar PV systems.
Required Skills:
- Autodesk Civil 3D
- Bentley MicroStation (2D/3D)
- Autodesk AutoCAD
- Bluebeam
- Knowledge of PVCase (preferred but not required)
- Leadership, design, and supervisory experience in utility-scale solar projects.
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 8 years related work experience.
