Qualifications:
The contractor Safety Representative must at a minimum:
- Hold a Board of Certified Safety Professionals CSP with at least 4 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience: or
- Hold a Board of Certified Safety Professionals ASP, GSP, or SMS with at least 6 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience; or
- Hold a Board of Certified Safety Professionals CHST or OHST with at lease 8 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience
- Completed the OSHA 500 course course for construction within the last 24 months, remaining current for the duration of the project
- Provide proof of non-expired completion of ta Red Cross or approved equal for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillation (AED).
- Provide proof of completion of FMCSE compliant 2-hour drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion supervisory training
- Knowledge of and ability to fulfill contractor safety representative's responsibilities set forth in this manual and the contractor's CSPP where applicable
- Valid Colorado Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) or Traffic Control Technician (TCT) Certification or Endorsement
- A full-time traffic manager/engineer is assigned during all working shifts with above credential or better and is tasked with continuous oversight of safe condition of TTC
- CIH or CAIH certification by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, or CSP, ASP, CUSP, SMS, OHST, CHST, or STSC certification by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals or equivalent nationally recognized organization, or eligible for certification or equivalent experience and demonstration of base knowledge considered.;
- At least 10 years of full-time work experience in the field of environment, safety, and health.
- Current training in CPR and First Aid.
- OSHA Construction 30hr
- High School degree or equivalent.
