- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of related experience, preferably in public accounting
- Fundamental technical accounting skills
- Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
Preferred:
- CPA certification
- Oracle
- Experience in cost accounting and/or inventory
Job Description:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in monthly closes and financial reporting processes, participating in external audit processes and contributions in maintaining the company’s effective control environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist in monthly close process, including preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and accrual estimates and calculations
- Lead and prepare materials related to monthly accrual meetings with functional teams
- Assist with areas surrounding product manufacturing and drug supply accounting performed as part of the monthly close process, including all accruals, account reconciliations and capitalization procedures
- Assist with maintaining inventory tracking and cost accounting for commercial products
- Assist with the implementation of and transition to Oracle inventory management system
- Assist in financial close processes associated with the Company's international locations
- Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings
- Assist in the maintenance of an effective system of internal controls and compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act including assistance in the management assessment certification process
- Work with external auditors on quarterly reviews and year-end audit, including internal control testing
- Conduct technical accounting research and assist with special projects as may arise
