Job Description

Our client is looking for a Scheduling Engineer to work  out of Quincy, MA.  You will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects. 

Position Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the General Superintendent, Superintendent, Project Managers, and other team members to develop comprehensive baseline and milestone schedules that meet client requirements and project objectives.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project to create and manage project schedules, incorporating all relevant tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Regularly update project schedules to reflect changes in scope, resource availability, and other factors, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address  issues with project teams to minimize impact on project deadlines.
  • Analyze schedule variances and performance metrics, providing regular reports and updates to project stakeholders.
  • Participate in all project schedule meetings and schedule reviews.
  • Collaborate with teams regarding procurement and lead times to ensure timely availability of materials and resources required for project execution.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements, ensuring alignment with project schedules and objectives.
  • Support project teams in resolving scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and other project-related challenges as they arise.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in scheduling software, incorporating relevant insights into project scheduling processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Scheduler or in Developing/Maintaining schedules in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and terminology.
