Job Description
Our client is looking for a Scheduling Engineer to work out of Quincy, MA. You will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects.
Position Responsibilities
Collaborate with the General Superintendent, Superintendent, Project Managers, and other team members to develop comprehensive baseline and milestone schedules that meet client requirements and project objectives.
Utilize Microsoft Project to create and manage project schedules, incorporating all relevant tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
Regularly update project schedules to reflect changes in scope, resource availability, and other factors, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project timelines.
Monitor project progress and proactively address issues with project teams to minimize impact on project deadlines.
Analyze schedule variances and performance metrics, providing regular reports and updates to project stakeholders.
Participate in all project schedule meetings and schedule reviews.
Collaborate with teams regarding procurement and lead times to ensure timely availability of materials and resources required for project execution.
Maintain a thorough understanding of project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements, ensuring alignment with project schedules and objectives.
Support project teams in resolving scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and other project-related challenges as they arise.
Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in scheduling software, incorporating relevant insights into project scheduling processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Project Scheduler or in Developing/Maintaining schedules in a similar role in the construction industry.
Full proficiency in Microsoft Project.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and terminology.
