We are looking for a qualified individual with experience in the construction industry. This individual will be field stationed at a Bandag production plant expansion in Abilene, TX. The expansion is approximately 56,000 square feet onto an existing production plant, and the project is expected to take approximately 14 months. The individual will be responsible for performing the following job tasks/requirements.
• Monitor and oversee the ongoing construction process taking place at an active manufacturing facility. This entails:
• Overseeing contractor and subcontractor safety compliance with site safety standards.
• Monitoring and assessing construction quality, and general contractor schedule adherence.
• Participating in pre-construction meetings for large construction milestones (concrete pours, steel erection, etc.)
• Coordinating construction activity with 3rd party materials inspection firms, reading and reviewing inspection reports for compaction, compressive strength tests, etc.
• Gathering, reviewing, and distributing all daily paperwork (toolbox talks, daily reports, demolition quantities, etc.).
• Making sure the construction site is maintained and housekeeping duties are performed by the general contractor.
• Coordinating deficiencies with the local plant team and project manager.
• Coordinating with the onsite staff to limit any interruptions to daily production.
• Assembling a daily report for the owner, indicating construction progress, site headcount, risks, etc.
• Providing schedule updates to the project manager on a regular basis.
• Taking daily pictures of the construction process, distributing, and filing.
• Monitoring the work progress and helping facilitate the contractor’s needs.
• Coordinating any owner-provided items, such as deliveries of OFE production equipment.
