Description:
The Product Validation Technician supports an interdisciplinary team of designers, scientists, engineers, and chefs. We are looking for someone that is a problem solver, who has excellent record keeping skills, has an eye for details, and enjoys working as part of a dynamic team.
You Will:
- Develop and carry out SOPs for assays and product validations
- Document and communicate test findings effectively using Google Suite (G Calendar, Gmail, G sheets, etc), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), and willingness to learn other software tools, as needed
- Support creating product and culinary validation workflow plans
- Support formula validations with testing and organized data collection
- Prepare product samples for validation assays and sensory testing
- Improve and maintain lab kitchen equipment
- Support complex and/or large scale product development projects within a team
- Communicate and work cross-functionally
- Must demonstrate excellent record keeping and accountability
- Voice ideas, concerns and solutions to teammates
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized and safe workplace
Skills:
Preferred Qualifications (but not required):
- Some experience in a scientific research environment
- Some experience in food production
- AS or BS
Education:
You Have:
- Confident knowledge of scientific process (identifying controls, noise in data, hypothesis development)
- Agility using and documenting culinary techniques and recipes
- Proficiency using Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Experience in fast-paced environment where accuracy and clear communication is important
- Self-motivated to make meaningful contributions in a team environment
- Strong knowledge of home and food service equipment
- Self-motivated individual with good communication and organization skills
- Positive, motivated, and hardworking attitude
- Comfortable using math for formulation calculations
- Desire and willingness to taste samples
