Planet Interactive is seeking a Photo Producer to join our prominent technology client on a 12-month contract.
The Media Products department is seeking a Photo Producer to support editorial photo and motion shoots for Music. You’re a true music lover, someone whose deep understanding of the industry comes from personal fandom, and you’re up to date on the artists, albums and tours shaping culture today. Your professional experience in making photography and video content has given you the know-how to handle all types of personalities, productions, and photo and video commissions from the first call to the photo agent to the final deliverable.
The Photo Producer role is equal parts creative and production oversight. Working closely with the Creative Director and other Art Directors to take shoots from project brief through commissioning, shoot production, post-production and launch. The ideal candidate has extensive experience commissioning photographers, directors and production companies of all levels on all types of shoots. You possess strong project, budget and time management skills. You are incredibly organized and have a proven ability to work collaboratively with others — in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. You are a motivated, self-starter who stays calm under pressure. You are enthusiastic about culture and lifestyle, with an eye for detail and craft-focused skills. We are a team that conceptualizes, designs and creates the content experiences for some of the company’s most visible products.

Key Qualifications:
- A well-developed aesthetic that connects with music photography and video, and the portfolio to prove it including examples of original commissions that reflect a consistent, A+ taste level and excellent execution
- Expert at shoot commissioning and production, fee negotiation, contracts, crew booking and on-set creative direction
- Meticulous with budget management
- Knowledge of image rights and legal clearance processes for commissioned content
- Well-versed in how to partner with celebrities and their personal teams, agents, and managers
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Highly collaborative, great to work with on a team, and instinctively understand the value of building great relationships across an org, from marketing, label relations, internal production teams, and more.
- Fluency with all of the following: photography, video, storytelling
- Keen ability to create work under minimal supervision, as well as package and present solutions to wider creative teams
- Portfolio showing extraordinary talent in delivering top-tier photo and video
- 8+ years relevant photo editing or multimedia experience; bonus for tours in publishing, magazines, or content creation for music labels/talent
- Flexibility to accommodate travel when needed
- Expert Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Passionate about the brand and relentless in preserving its authenticity
