Prophet 21 System Integration Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Prophet 21 System Integration Specialist with a strong background in Accounting/Finance to lead our distribution company in optimizing financial management through software integration. This role is pivotal in enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance of our P21 environment by analyzing current workflows, implementing system enhancements, and training our accounting team.
Responsibilities:
  • System Integration Leadership:
    • Lead the integration efforts of various software systems with Prophet 21 (P21) to streamline financial management processes.
    • Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to design and implement integrations that enhance data flow, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
  • Workflow Analysis and Enhancement:
    • Analyze existing accounting workflows within the P21 environment and identify opportunities for improvement through system enhancements.
    • Develop and implement solutions to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance financial controls.
  • Best Practices Development:
    • Develop and document best practices for the use of integrated systems to optimize financial management operations.
    • Establish standards and guidelines for data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance within the integrated environment.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to accounting staff on new systems, processes, and enhancements.
    • Ensure smooth adoption of integrated systems and promote optimal use to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in financial management software and system integration.
    • Recommend and implement continuous improvements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Prophet 21 System Integration Specialist or similar role within a distribution company.
  • Strong understanding of Prophet 21 (P21) ERP system and its integration capabilities.
  • Expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial management processes.
  • Experience in analyzing workflows, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing system enhancements.
  • Ability to develop and document best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and support end-users effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
