Position Overview:
The Outage Sequencing & Constructability Group Member supports the outage sequencing and constructability process by assisting with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of outage phases. Develops and maintains all outage sequences that fall in their region and assists other outage sequencers in reviewing others outage sequences within the team. This role is focused on applying constructability principles to help ensure the efficient execution of maintenance, repairs, or upgrades while minimizing downtime, reducing risks, and ensuring the final product is operational and maintainable. The Group Member works closely with the Outage Sequencing & Constructability Lead and Manager to support project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and sequence of outage phases, ensuring each task is aligned with constructability principles.
Help evaluate the feasibility and ease of construction of each outage phase, identifying potential constructability issues.
Support the allocation of resources (labor, equipment, materials) to each outage phase, ensuring optimal use and efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that outage sequencing is coordinated with project timelines and operational constraints.
Assist in monitoring outage progress, identifying issues or delays and helping to resolve them.
Contribute to maintaining records and documentation related to outage sequencing and constructability assessments.
Help ensure that all safety standards and protocols are followed during outage planning and execution.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management with 5 years of related field experience, or 5-10 years related field experience without a degree.
Outage sequencing and construction processes experience related to System Operations and/or Construction Management.
Strong computer skills with applications in the Microsoft Office products, such as Excel, Word, etc.
Understanding of constructability principles and resource management.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with scheduling and project management tools is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
