As Network Engineer, you will assist the Help Desk, Security, and Infrastructure personnel in solving end-user or server-based network problems. Occasional work with business users, and therefore a high level of integrity, is required. This role would be ideal for a person from a traditional IT infrastructure and network who wishes to transition to a fast-growing Hybrid-Cloud environment. This individual is a critical component of a small team that will make a huge impact on the company’s future success. Additionally, after-hours onsite work will be needed in support of network initiatives and maintenance.

The ideal candidate is someone who has:
- Industry-related experience as a Network Engineer or Senior Network Engineer
- Professional certification(s) (preferably CCNP)
- Solid background in network administration and design
- In-depth communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
- Familiarity with access control models and network security
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
- Solid grasp of network operating systems (Cisco IOS-XE and NexusOS)
- Experience with hybrid-cloud networking, WAN concepts, and firewalling
What you will do:
- Deploy, patch, and optimize all network resources in the company across 15+ locations, 2 data centers, and an MPLS-connected wide-area-network
- Lead all aspects of patching (done with a third-party firm) for all network equipment and ensure adequate testing
- Monitor network metrics and integrity
- Resolve issues raised by cloud and local infrastructure alerts
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
- Lead network-related projects and deployments, coordinating with other teams as needed
- Mentor team members on technical issues
- Create, coordinate and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
- Collaborate with executives, office managers and end-users as needed
- Maintain complete user documentation
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
- And other responsibilities as required
What you bring:

Education (Preferred):
- Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 3–5 years working in Network Engineering and/or IT Infrastructure
