Job Description

The Planet Group is seeking an Advertising Copywriter (Pharma) to join one of our well-known global pharmaceutical clients.

Pay: $74-$77/hr depending on experience 
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days on-site) in Mettawa, IL

The Advertising Copywriter (Pharma) is responsible for medical copy writing, editing, content generation for print and electronic media for company advertising, promotion, and other communications.

Advertising Copywriter Responsibilities:
  • Writing of pharma and medical materials.
  • Writing, editing, content generation for print and electronic media for the clients advertising, promotion, and other communications. This includes product and indication launches, sales collateral materials, sales meetings, convention exhibits, direct to physician and other healthcare professionals, direct to patient, Managed Health Care programs, videos, web/multimedia, internal communication programs, including sales training, incentive projects on an ad hoc basis.
  • Strategic direction and advice for elements described above.
  • Support commercial team, with ad hoc support of other functions and corporate teams.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, leveraging strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Develop content in collaboration with franchise and cross-functional review processes (Medical, Regulatory, Legal, etc.)
  • Work with multiple internal and external resources.
  • Generate consumer, external facing creative content and concepting.
  • Collaborate with art directors and designers in the creation of materials.
Advertising Copywriter Qualifications:
  • B.A./B.S/Business, Communications or Advertising; or equivalent business experience within a these or related industries.
  • Proven skills and experience in written communication.
  • Proven skills and experience in developing advertising and promotional ideas, concepts, and campaigns.
  • Capacity to learn and apply applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products, and the promotion of sales and marketing materials/samples and interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge and experience in translating complex information into successful communications aimed at various professional and patient target audiences.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and presentation skills; project management skills; and organizational skills.
