Location: Fully remote; must work EST hours
Duration: through 2025
Pay: up to $53/hour, DOE
 
Planet Interactive is looking for a Market Researcher to join our well-known retail brand on a 5-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and is open to fully remote candidates.

Market Researcher Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for business insights assessing organization timing needs, reporting opportunities, and data gaps
  • Leverage multiple data sources to connect dots and develop a comprehensive understanding of the business environment, while keeping a pulse on consistently evolving trends within the footwear space
  • Oversee the enhancement of market insights tracking and reporting infrastructure to support evolving business needs
  • Collaborate with key team members to identify critical business questions and translate them into a prioritized global learning agenda supported by measurement methodologies.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses across data sources to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear, concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage expectations regarding timing, capabilities, and the application of tests and analytics methodologies.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all reporting deliverables.

Market Researcher Qualifications: 
  • At least 7 years of experience in market analysis, and data insights and analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize disparate information from multiple data sources into a holistic story with strategic implications and recommendations. Capable of turning complex information into simple and understandable messaging
  • Inherently curious, proactive, and enjoys digging beyond the surface to uncover insights. Exceptional at finding trends and the story in the data, articulating the “so what,” and translating insights into strategic, actionable recommendations
  • Outstanding analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail. Ability to focus on both strategy and execution
  • History with syndicated data sets (e.g., Circana, Euromonitor, etc.) and ability to navigate beyond pulling numbers, to analyze and distill the most relevant insights
  • Thrives in ambiguity and agile work environments, with strong prioritization and project management skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience on the supplier side and brand side of research/insights preferred
  • Footwear/Apparel industry experience preferred
