Location: Fully remote Duration: 10 months Pay: up to $35.00/hr, DOE
Our retail client has a need for an Internal Communications Specialist. This contract role will be for 10 months and has a high probability of extending or converting into a full-time position. This role is fully remote.
The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing internal communications strategies and materials. In this highly collaborative role, this person must have the ability to plan and develop business communications, internal announcements, and produce Change Management deliverables to drive business priorities forward. The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for the planning and execution of Associate-facing IT-related communication deliverables in partnership with internal business groups. By using defined processes and partnering with various content owners and teams, this person would plan for, support, and help implement multi-channel internal communications efforts.
Responsibilities:
Serve as part of an IT Communications and Business Change Management team, supporting Associate-facing communications initiatives, completing plans following defined processes
Gather content and draft/edit Associate-facing communications such as memos, articles, and SharePoint pages
Draft communications plans for Associate-facing campaigns
Track communications deliverables using centralized tool
Develop and implement small-scale Associate-facing communications and change management deliverables
Support ad hoc project work, as needed
Qualifications:
3-8 years of experience in Communications or Change Management
Microsoft Office (required)
Strong verbal, written, as well as interpersonal skills
Ability to distill complex technical concepts into digestible and easy to understand communication vehicles
A keen eye for aesthetics and details
Ability to effectively interact with various levels of the organization to build partnerships and trust
Strong organizational and planning skills to complete multi-channel campaigns using various technologies
Experience drafting training materials a plus
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Quick learner, strong work ethic, and comfortable working in a team or independently
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Change Management or equivalent work experience
