Graphic Designer/ Production Artist
 
Location: Hybrid in Beaverton, OR (M-Th onsite; Fri remote) 
Duration: 4 months
Pay: up to $39.95/hour, DOE
 
The Planet Group is looking for a Graphic Designer/ Production Artist to join our well-known retail brand on a 4-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid onsite in Beaverton, OR.  This person will report directly to the Production Art Studio Sr. Manager, while working in collaboration with fellow Apparel and Graphic Production Artists. 

Graphic Designer Responsibilities: 
  • Work on highly visible product across sports and professional leagues, focusing primarily on basketball uniforms to help support seasonal category apparel graphic product creation
  • Collaborate with design to create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product, from on athlete to retail
  • Leverage 2D and 3D tools
  • Attend Production Art meetings and assist with alignment
  • Create high-volume graphic schematics for graphic designs on Sport Uniforms and Tee-shirts and laydown page
  • Create documentation for downstream partners
  • Review strike-offs
  • Track and maintain updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval
  • Learn new tools and advocate for efficiencies in the product creation life cycle
Graphic Designer Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree, Graphic Design or related field with experience in product creation
  • Experience creating technical schematics of graphics for apparel
  • Previous work in production, apparel, graphic uniforms - Sport Uniform work and non-uniform work
  • Technical image art or pattern experience
  • Strong knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite
  • Experience in 3D apparel programs, such as CLO
  • Understanding of Smartsheets, Airtable, and Miro are a plus
  • Knowledge of graphic applications for apparel
  • Excellent attention to details with organizational thinking 
  • Deep curiosity for learning
  • Strong ability to multitask with prioritization
  • Self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Proven ability to collaborate
  • A love for sports is a bonus but a love for design is essential
  • Creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a time sensitive environment
  • Basketball Apparel experience is a huge plus!
