Description:
- This candidate will sit in Akron OH. There's no remote/no hybrid work. They will assist in serving Client’s needs in a five State region including: Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
- Identify and prepare environmental and non-environmental permits through municipalities, townships, counties, and state departments of transportation
- Interpret engineering drawings to identify and develop permits
- Environmental analysis and evaluations
- Support project managers, design engineers, environmental consultants, GIS mapping specialists, vegetation management team, Right-of-Way managers and real estate coordinators as required
- Track the status of permit applications and escalate any delays or issues that may impact project timelines.
- Support Client needs as directed
- Efficient at working independently as well as in team environment
- Adhering to all safety requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related natural science degree from an accredited program. Please make sure to check prior to submitting. A completion of required degree is a MUST (don't submit HS/Associates).
- Working knowledge of general permitting requirements and laws
- Strong attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in working with Google Earth, PDF viewer/editing programs, spreadsheets and other task tracking software's
- Capable of working with diverse skill sets in fast paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player focused on Client service
- Well organized and able to simultaneously pursue and track multiple project efforts
- Valid driver’s license required. Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company’s vehicle driving privileges
- Physical capabilities including lifting 50 lbs and walking through wetland conditions
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required (NO HB1 visa).
- Travel: 5%
