Environmental Lab QA Manager – (Perm/Direct Hire) – Onsite – MN
Environmental Laboratory seeks a Quality Assurance Manager with NELAC Accreditation experience and 5+ years in Quality Assurance, within an environmental setting. Understanding of TNI Accreditation requirements and LIMS expertise are required. Environmental LIMS is preferred, ideally with Promium LIMS. This person should also have expertise in data review of Organic, Inorganic, Metals, Wet Chemistry and Micro Testing. Additionally, expertise in creating and reviewing SOPS is required. Requirements:
BS in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental or related area required; advance degree preferred.
USC or Green Card Holder Required; residing in the US.
5+ years in Quality Management Principles, Methodologies and Tools.
Extensive environmental expertise having worked for an NELAC accredited laboratory prior.
Expertise with an environmental LIMS with Promium being idyllic.
Expertise leading internal/external audits, inspections, and accreditation assessments.
Prior experience within data review of Organic, Inorganic, Metals, Wet Chemistry and Micro Testing, as well as drafting and review of SOPs.
Certified Quality Auditor (COA) desired but not required.
The ability to work onsite in MN (cities to be disclosed to interested parties)
Responsibilities:
Playing a pivotal role to ensure lab operations meet, or exceed, TNI accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for implementing/maintaining a robust quality management system to uphold the reliability and integrity of environmental testing processes.
Overseeing the creation, review, and management of laboratory documentation to include SOPs, Quality Manuals and Records as well as TNI Compliance Guidelines.
Developing and delivering training programs ensuring all lab personnel are adequately trained in QA Procedures, Methodology and Regulations.
Planning and conducting internal audits and assessments to evaluate quality systems and their effectiveness, while identifying areas of improvement, implementing CAPAs, as necessary.
Serving as primary POC for external audits, inspections, and accreditation assessments conducted by regulatory agencies and accreditation entities, while ensuring successful outcomes.
Leading continuous improvement initiatives aimed to enhance lab processes, systems, and performance metrics to drive efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with lab operations to ensure potential quality issues are proactively addressed and managed.
Collaborating with lab management and other staff to address customer inquiries, concerns, and non-conformance as they relate to QA issues; implementing corrective action as needed.
Staying up-to-date on any changes within regulatory standards and best practices as they relate to environmental testing and quality assurance, while ensuring lab operations remain in compliance at all times.
Managing a team of up to 3 staff members with the ability to grow the team.
