The Customer Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating battery energy storage system installation and commissioning projects with a focus on quality, on-time delivery, and high customer satisfaction. The position may be performed remotely from home or onsite in headquarters in Tualatin, OR.
Customer Project Manager Job Duties:
Manages and coordinates to ensure completion of battery energy storage system installation and commissioning projects
Key point of contact for the customer and stakeholders and responsible for the project from inception to completion including post project feedback and evaluation
Support project planning from pre-sales through post sale installation and commissioning
Cooperates and works closely with internal and external stakeholders associated with the project
Responsible for developing project budget prior to sale and managing to the quoted budget through project completion
Maintains regular communication of project status and potential material changes to the technical requirements, project timeline or budget to ZincFive management
Supports the integration, planning and execution with 3rd party equipment
Ensures a smooth and professional transfer of the project to the designated long term service organization
Cooperates closely with other stakeholder Project Managers to provide mutual support where necessary
Organizes and facilitates meetings in order to ensure a smooth project execution.
Contributes best practices to the corporate project management function including processes and SOP’s
Organizes Pre-delivery Inspection or Factory Acceptance Test visits
Visits assigned projects in the field, up to 50% of his/her time
Provides technical support/advice to customers/stakeholders either directly or by coordinating company subject matter experts
Maintains a database of all project records
Cooperates closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Service and Engineering and ensures a successful project completion
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems or a related field, or equivalent years of experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in customer project management for power systems or data center background
Excellent customer management skills for both verbal and written communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project as well as other software required for project management
Organized with attention to detail
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to manage projects to completion
Ability to coordinate efforts of various teams to provide the right skills at the right time for successful project management
Experience with and ability to manage project change management and risk mitigation
Preferred:
PMP certification
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work involves extended periods of sitting at a computer, some repetitive motion, and lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally
Ability to travel by air, train, bus and car
Normal and home office environment
