Content Designer

Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Pay: up to $53.33/hour, DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a Content Designer to join our well known lifestyle brand technology client on a 12-month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role working a fully remote schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop intuitive UX, IA, content strategy, and UX writing workflows.
  • Craft language that helps users (external and internal) accomplish their goals while meeting business and compliance requirements.
  • Collect and apply research and data insights to improve product content, including conducting audits, reviewing guidelines, identifying reusable patterns, contributing to research plans, and reviewing study findings.
  • Apply UX content best practices, internal guidelines, and patterns to drive quality and consistency. 
  • Work on multiple content design projects at once, from early ideation through final execution.
  • Collaborate with product designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and marketing to establish conversational, cohesive experiences with a unified voice.
  • Communicate ideas and recommendations to solicit feedback from cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings, collaborative work sessions, and ideation sessions.
  • Scope out content design projects and ensure that timelines and deliverables are being met.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working in user-focused content design or UX writing. 
  • A portfolio showcasing UX content produced (not spec.)
  • Experience with Figma, Google Slides, Google Docs, and Content docs.
  • Experience communicating complex ideas clearly and concisely across surfaces and channels, including mobile, web, and email.
  • Experience complying with content design standards and localization and accessibility best practices.
  • Working knowledge of human-centered design principles, methods, and tools.
  • Any experience within the Trust and Safety space is highly sought after.
