Seeking Construction Site Quality Specialists with OSHA 30 certifications.
Prior experience with heavy civil, electrical or quality assurance / quality control preferred.
Previous solar experience is also a plus. Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
There will be significant walking associated with these positions. Prefer local (Virginia /NC) candidates.
Daily, the individuals would be responsible opening the gates to allow the contractor access, participation in the daily plan of day (POD) meeting, observation and reporting of daily contractor activities, potentially manipulating rows of modules to support vegetation management activities as well as restoring them the operation upon completion of daily activity, and finally securing the site at the end of the day. The expectation is that these folks will be the first in and last out daily.

\Are any certification required: OSHA 30 Certification or higher
Top 3 Required Skills
1) 5+ years Hands on experience with Civil Construction projects with a utility or solar project
2) MUST have previously worked either as a Construction Quality Specialist or a Construction Site QA/QC
3) Ability to read and understand construction drawings (IFC drawings)
4) Prior experience with site safety reviews/walkdowns - Safety focus – familiarity with OSHA 30 and industry safety practices
What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)?
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to use a personal computer and work with/manipulate PDF’s
• Ability to file a daily report
Nice to Have Skills:
• Previous experience with utility scale solar construction work
• Experience with electrical construction work
Required Years of Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry in quality control/assurance subsection
Education:
• Preference: Bachelors in Civil Construction or in a Construction discipline
• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Are there any specific companies/industries you’d like to see in the candidate’s experience?
• Must have previous experience in the civil construction industry
• Preference for candidates with experience in the utility solar construction industry
