HR Associate - Compensation
7-month contract
Location: New York, New York
Pay Range: $45.00-$50.00/hr
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of Human resources experience, knowledge, and skills both general and technical
- Strong knowledge of compensation market pricing methodology
- Expert Excel skills including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables
- Working knowledge of EPrism or other compensation market pricing tools
- CCP or other HR certification in process
The HR Sr Professional Compensation role is for an independent contributor with strong knowledge and experience in Firmwide / Corporate Compensation analysis and market pricing.
There are three primary dimensions in this role but will involve mostly significant testing of new compensation tool – PeopleFluent.
- Project Management: - Ad Hoc Firmwide or LOB specific compensation projects as needed. Will be involved in significant testing of new comp planning tool - PeopleFluent
- Compensation Analytics: Analysis, reporting, reconciliations, summary and recommendations for individuals and compensation programs –eg. salary structures, bonus programs, and salary increase modeling
- Market Pricing Process: Owns the coordination of the compensation survey process and tools globally. This includes managing the data submission process, survey results, the competitive analysis reporting process, market pricing tool configuration and data / reporting accuracy from the market pricing tool.
- Market Pricing Tool - Responsible for testing and reconciliation of new market pricing system and reconciling issues prior to implementation
- Compensation Analytics - Analyze data leveraging multiple sources of information such as compensation benchmark surveys, budgets, anecdotal information, and industry best practices, to inform compensation decisions for individuals and company compensation programs both during year end process and throughout the comp cycle. This includes bonus programs, salary structures, merit increase programs, promotion programs - Assist in LOB market pricing analysis as needed
- Project Management - Acts as lead and/or team member on compensation related projects such as compensation program design and implementation, external benchmarking studies, and functional promotion review. - Participates in broader HR initiatives representing the Compensation function- such as Workday Implementation - Completes compensation related ad hoc requests
Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
- 6+ years of Human Resources experience Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
- Strong knowledge of compensation market pricing methodology
- Ability to speak to both the technical and user aspects related to the market pricing process and tools
- Ability to get to the root cause of an issue and understand it’s impacts both technically (system) and to the user
- Ability to solve routine problems and issues independently; knowing when to leverage subject matter experts to resolve complex issues
- Very Strong Excel Knowledge and experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, while meeting deadlines
- Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required)
- Working knowledge of EPrism or other compensation market pricing tools
- CCP or other HR certification in process
