Location: Remote - NYC or Boston locations preferred Duration: ~6 Months Pay: up to $66/hour, DOE
Planet Interactive is looking for a Brand Designer to join our well known retail brand on a 6 month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be fully remote (but preference to NYC or Boston locations).
The position works to develop and creatively lead the conceptualization of brand experiences across various physical spaces.
This role requires an ability to lead with innovative and captivating concepts and create best in class physical experiences. The role aligns with cross-functional Global and Regional teams, local agencies and fabricators. We are looking for someone who is proactive, has strong multidisciplinary design skills and is results & solution oriented.
Responsibilities:
Develop creative briefs, layouts and mood boards
Strategize and lead ideation sessions with creative colleagues and agencies
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, stakeholders and agencies to develop and execute compelling design solutions and engaging ideas rooted in strategy
Consult with internal clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships
Help develop brand experience concept, development, and execution (including but not limited to pop ups, activations, internal presentations, etc.)
Assist in visual center creation across different medium.
Help develop pinnacle retail concept, development, and execution
Oversee fixture development and execution.
Build, develop, and grow business relationships.
Drive creative excellence, aligning marketing deliverables with process and identify opportunities.
Reinforce brand positioning and deliver consumer insights.
Collaborate and communicate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment and consistency.
Provide clear communication of project statuses.
Proactive approach to responsibilities and creative problem-solving.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
At least 5 years of related design experience
Must have a portfolio that showcases experiential design across various scales
Must understand retail trends and realities
Familiarity with visual merchandising
Experience working in a fast paced, matrixed agency or in-house team environment to develop a range of creative initiatives
Experience working in art direction is a plus
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, and other 3D modeling software
Ability to render and basic animation is a plus
Strong knowledge and skills in designing interactive and static presentations
Excel at managing multiple projects, prioritizing milestones, and influencing design colleagues to deliver desirable solutions within time frame and budget
Advanced technical understanding of 3D design and fabrication drawings
Willingness to accept administrative responsibilities such as project management and internal client communications along with creative development and design
Willingness to travel to and attend onsite events as required
