Apparel Designer
Location: Hybrid in Beaverton, OR (M-Th onsite; Fri remote)
Duration: 6 months
Pay: up to $56.65/hour, DOE
Planet Interactive is looking for a Apparel Designer to join our well-known retail brand on a 6-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid onsite in Beaverton, OR.
This role is focused on ideation & future vision for the women’s running athlete and consumer. As a cut & sew expert generating new ways of thinking through performance products that result in competitive advantages growth opportunities. Develops ideas that are consistent with the women’s design ethos and vision by collaborating creative cross functional partners.

Apparel Designer Responsibilities:
- Develop insights which feed into the design of advanced product concepts using new technologies or construction processes
- Generate new ways of thinking through performance products that result in growth opportunities
- Develop ideas that are consistent with the women’s design ethos and vision
- Deliver proof of concept by turning new product visions into reality
- Identify advanced skills in product construction materials and processes
- Meet complex challenges with imaginative state of the art approaches supported by feasible solutions
- Clearly and concisely communicate the knowledge required and best practices, storytelling, and narrative building for women’s running product
- Demonstrate adaptability in assisting others to enhance overall team performance
- Collaborate with all team members to foster a positive and inclusive environment
- Bachelor's
- Portfolio
- 8+ YEO in clothing product design or Cut and sew design
- Technical performance designer in lifestyle and performance apparel
- Hand sketching ideas, quick ideation
- Advance in Adobe Illustrator
- 3D experience, CLO or similar tools
- Can work with multiple functions and teams autonomously, high multitasker, very cross functional
