Apparel Designer
Location: Hybrid in Beaverton, OR (M-Th onsite; Fri remote)
Duration: 6 months
Pay: up to $40.50/hour, DOE
Planet Interactive is looking for an Apparel Designer to join our well-known retail brand on a 6-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid onsite in Beaverton, OR.

Apparel Designer Responsibilities:
- Generate new ways of thinking about aspects of performance based products that result in growth opportunities and competitive advantages in the marketplace
- Develop ideas that are consistent with the vision for new products by collaborating with product creation on the genesis of new product concepts for all business units
- Define protocol and establishes scope of testing required to prove and validate a concept
- Develop concrete insights which feed into the development of advanced product concepts through the use of new technologies or construction processes
- Deliver proof of concept by turning concepts and new product visions into reality
- Identify key elements of product construction materials and processes
- Lead innovation projects turning concept ideation into reality by working in, or with, multi-disciplinary teams to include product creation, manufacturing, and 3rd party vendors
- Meet complex challenges with imaginative state of the art approaches supported by feasible solutions.
- Draft reports and presents results and market concepts at the functional department level
- Clearly and concisely communicates the knowledge required and best practices assist transition of technology to product.
Apparel Designer Qualifications:
- Portfolio
- Bachelor's
- 8+ YOE with performance or athletic apparel design wear
- Experience in women's training apparel, women's athletics apparel, or women's yoga apparel design.
- Portfolio MUST include examples of this work.
- Strong technical skills with 2D sketches
- CLO, AI rendering programs - Viscom Ai, Midjouney, or similar tools
- Enjoy fast paced environments, is able to jump into an active project and quickly get up to speed
- Strong experience in sketching, materials, fitting, and providing creative direction.
