Project Coordinator
11 month contract; 20hrs a week 
New York, New York


Must Haves: 
  • Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of related experience; Associates and 5+ years of related experience; no degree and 8+ years of related experience
  • Proficient in using computer software for communication, data gathering, statistical analysis and reporting activities
  • Experienced in research and writing 
  • Microsoft Office applications
Preferred: 
  • Experience in a higher education institution; and/or interest in global higher education administration.
  • Master's degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Website management and report writing.
  • Project management and stakeholder development experience.
  • Expense management and travel software (e.g., Concur) is highly desirable.
Job Summary:
The part-time Project Coordinator role, working for a university department in dynamic position supporting two major initiatives: the school's curriculum review and the Research Ethics in the Middle East and North Africa project. This position requires a blend of organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills to ensure the smooth execution of both projects.

For the Curriculum Review Project this individual will maintain detailed project records and write meeting minutes. Keep track of the project schedule, including the Chairperson’s calendar. Collect and analyze data as per the Chairperson’s directions. Disseminate information within and outside the school, including managing correspondence. Work with the Chairs and Steering Committee on survey administration, data analysis, and qualitative research synthesis. Organize focus groups and workshops with various stakeholders. Assist the Steering Committee and manage the University's review document submissions.

For the Research Ethics Project, they will also maintain the project schedule, including the Principal Investigator’s calendar, and project records, including a bibliography of materials. Oversee the project's website. Handle all project-related correspondence. Edit and proofread journal submissions. Plan international workshops, manage travel, accommodation, and related activities. Engage and organize meetings with stakeholders. Help manage the project's budget and support with expense management. Collect and analyze data as directed by the Principal Investigator.
