Software Proficiency
Project Management Software: Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project, Primavera, or other scheduling tools.
Document Control Systems: Ability to use software for tracking and organizing commissioning documents and test records.
Excel, Power Bi, and other Data Analysis: Using Excel or similar tools for tracking budgets, schedules, and other project metrics.
Attention to Detail
Accuracy in Documentation: Ensuring all project activities including construction, commissioning and startup are accurately documented.
Quality Control: Reviewing and validating all aspects of the work to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications.
Communication Skills
Ability to clearly communicate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
Competence in preparing documentation, such as progress reports, test plans, and punch lists.
Ability to handle disputes or misunderstandings between project stakeholders to maintain positive relationships.
Problem-Solving Skills
Quickly identifying and resolving issues that arise
Ability to assess complex situations and make decisions that will keep the project on track.
Team Collaboration
Working with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other teams to ensure successful project completion.
Guiding and motivating a team to meet project objectives and deadlines pertaining to using the tool effectively.
Project Management Skills
Managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently to ensure timely completion of the project.
Allocating and managing resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) effectively.
Identifying potential risks to project completion and developing mitigation strategies.
Preparing for unexpected issues by having contingency plans in place.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements or unexpected challenges during commissioning and completions.
Technical Knowledge – with support from team
Understanding of Systems and Equipment: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems to understand commissioning processes.
Inspection and Testing: Overseeing the testing and verification of systems and equipment to ensure they meet required performance standards.
Commissioning Procedures: Knowledge of commissioning procedures, including system checks, performance tests, and functional validation.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED and 11 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience Required or - Associate Degree Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field and 9 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience Required or - Bachelor Degree Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field and 7 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
