Job Description
We are seeking an experienced 2D Microstation/AutoCad Operator to join our team and help with the creation of electrical drawings for ongoing and future Electrical Modifications. Job Responsibilities:
- Take Red-Marks from Engineering and other Designers to create final design documents (Connection Diagrams, Laydown Drawings, etc) in accordance with site specs - 75% of Job
- Peer check work from other designers - 10% of Job
- Compare data from vendor documents and help align with design documents - 5% of Job
- Create Excel Spreadsheets for tracking purposes for various jobs - 5% of Job
- Participate in field walkdowns to gather correct information for the design process - 5% of Job
Experience/General Requirements:
- 3+ Years experience with and proficient in 2D Microstation/AutoCad (Microstation is our main software)
- Have basic understanding of Electrical/Network drawings
- Have basic understanding of Laydown Drawings
- Have basic understanding of construction processes
- Must know how to use basic programs in the Microsoft Windows Suite of programs
- Self-Starter who can work alone
- Working conditions are typically, an office environment with some work in the plant to conduct system walkdowns and field support of modification implementation
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, etc.)
- Ability to pass Nuclear Requirements for job entry including drug test
- Must be able to work well with all disciplines
- Must be able to effectively communicate and work well with others and within a team
- Desire to not only learn from experienced designers but also take feedback
