Job Description

Job Title: Accountant 4
Contract Duration: Tentative start date: Nov 4, 2024 through Jun 30, 2025 (Assignment extensions occur quarterly. The selected candidate has the potential to stay in the role for up to 18 months.)
Pay: $54.00/hr
Onsite/Remote/Hybrid (if onsite/hybrid please give city/town name): Remote; 100% Remote; Candidate must be local to the Redmond, WA area

Must Haves: The role requires 8-10 overall years of experience in the field.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
· Minimum 8 years of experience with Excel – intermediate – navigate large data sets power pivots, pivot tables, vlookups.
· Any years of experience with Power BI is a plus.
· Minimum 8 years experience Powerpoint, outlook, teams, MSFT suite

Preferred: The ideal resume would have experience in Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, PowerBI, Financial accounting in a corporate company, large company experience, financial accountant exp. Tech industry exp. Exp with revenue accounting is a plus, Communication skills – verbal and written. Someone who can operate in an undefined white space, self-starter, not afraid to ask questions, problem solve, work independently, strong experience with Excel, detail oriented. Experience with document processes- create flow charts or narratives or desktop procedure format.

Job Description:
The main function of an accountant is to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. A typical accountant is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.

Job Responsibilities:
* Accurately prepare financial documents such as reports, journal entries and billing
• Review accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports created by staff to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Document end-to-end processes in detail and at a high-level that can be leveraged by execution teams and for executive presentations.
• Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend and/or develop solutions to business and financial problems.
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
* Partner cross functionally and drive collaboration across various teams including: Finance, Accounting, Operations, Business Development, Engineering, Compliance and other partners.

Skills:
• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
• Advanced ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Advanced ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
• Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software. Advanced Excel user.

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
• 8-10 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

Typical Day in the Role:
· Purpose of the Team: The team manages accounting related activities.
· Key projects: This role will be responsible for figuring out how to enable non-standard partner deals, figure out how to make the partnership work within the construct of accounting systems. Work hand and hand with engineering teams- build out report systems, finance- ensure financial accuracy, completeness of any billings. Candidates will help with documentation of where data is being pulled, assist with organization, and add additional support to the team.
· Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 30% meetings, 50% heads down work, and 20% coordination, communication, and cross collaboration.
